Islamic Charity Council (MAIM)
 

Introduction

The Malaysia Islamic Charity Council (MAIM) is a body under the Islamic Missionary Foundation Malaysia (YADIM) comprising with representatives from Islamic charitable organizations. YADIM provides a secretariat to the council to coordinate in the administration and implementation of decisions adopted by the council. This is set in motion on the realization that every strength and capabilities must be united in confronting the challenges of the new millennium. This energy will be more focused and effective in the implementation of programs especially for the development of the people in this new millennium. Islamic charitable organizations are social institution that has the capacity to be motivated to achieve a developed and better quality Islamic community. This capacity should not be wasted. It has to be motivated while its role is coordinated to achieve short and long term objectives in the struggle to be among the better people (khairu ummah) in this world.

Objectives

• To assemble, coordinate, formulate strategies and to stimulate
Islamic charitable organizations towards the development of this
khairu ummah.
• To develop cooperation and joint ventures among various
organizations to be under YADIM patronage.
• To develop strong sense of understanding and fikrah among
various Islamic organization’s leaders.
• To provide training, skills and exposure to the virtuous religion of
Islam to Islamic charitable organizations.
• To take initiative in ensuring people’s strength and ownership in
this country.
• To curb disintegration, social foolishness and negative
development in the community.
